Default Remains of Sahlahja challenge mission update

Anet updated the Remains of Sahlahja challenge mission at some point over the last two weeks and it is total bs. Infestations have more hp and maddened spirits can now catch up to you when you travel at normal speed.

WTF? This challenge mission was already hard, why punish the players Anet? In your Guild Wars 2 interviews you keep talking about how the game should be first and foremost, fun. This update does the exact opposite, and really screws over casual players.

Given that most (all?) of the HoM rewards won't be the best items in GW2 anyway why make it so tough for your players to achieve something in game? I've defended Anet through a lot but this is lousy treatment of players.

I liked the halloween event cuz everyone was off farming tots or doing CB.
I was 1st place in the challenge mission every single day for a week

but now that peeps are back my 300 points have me around 3rd or 4th every day

Sahlahja? Blue Rock Candy... 20 minutes of speedbuff where the maddened spirits just CAN'T catch you... take a few with you and you can have the high score without even trying.

I find that the buffs from rock cany don't affect the wurm.
While you're out of the wurm it's great for running around while switching wurms (for those few times when you just have to leave your wurm because theres no time to find a wurm spoor). But while in the wurm I have never noticed any speed increase or skill recharge decrease because of any of the rock candies.

How about Glint's Challenge? My guild and I used to be able to rock that one with little problems, and now we cant even get passed the 2nd or 3rd wave. And this started right after the HoM rewards were announced.

And yes we're doing it in normal mode as always.

Thats your own problem. I was farming the shiznitz out of cloths for a few days. The only time I failed was when the other guy I was with d/ced while loading.

I also did a couple remains runs recently and didn't notice any increased difficulty.

The speed buff does indeed affect the wurm's speed, some consumables end when you leave/enter the wurm, but rock candies work just fine.
